李宸宇师傅曾为不少人分析过八字命理，而许多人都会有这个疑问：“如果八字不好，是不是一生就是如此了？努力能不能改变结局呢？如果终究天注定，那我努力的意义又是什么？
Master Derrick Lee analyzed Bazi numerology for many people, and most of them will have this question: "If the Bazi is not good, will it remain bad along your life? Can effort change the result? If it is destined, then what is the point of being hard working?
事实上，人们从出生的那刻开始就是场较量了，一场“先天注定”以及“后天努力”的较量。我们经常会听到类似的调侃字眼，比如“含着金汤匙出生”、“开始便赢在起跑点上”、“八字生得好，是富贵命”等等。
In fact, people have been in a contest from the moment they were born, a contest of "innate destiny" and "effort". We often hear these interesting words, such as "Born with a golden spoon", "Won at the starting point", "Born with a good Bazi, with a life of wealth" and so on.
但不可否认的是，通过努力和付出，迈向更好的生活，是每个人都不能被剥夺的权利。有些人渴望巅峰人生，有些人则渴望简单平凡，这两者又有哪个不是靠努力来维持的呢？没有任何一样东西是理所当然的。
But it is undeniable that, the way of pursuing better life with hard work and dedication, is the right that everyone cannot be deprived of. Some people yearn for amazing life, some people yearn for the simplicity and an ordinary life. Which of the two is not sustained by hard work? Nothing is taken for granted.
人生如意时，人们便顺风前行，事情似乎都在往好的方向发展，那段日子甚至得意得连走路都有风。而人生不如意时，感觉做什么事情都以失败收场，连喝水都会呛着。特别是近两年，整体经济情况非常糟糕，许多人都不可避免陷入了困境。有的做生意被迫暂停，有的失业，有的刚毕业找不到工作。到处怨声载道，一边感叹“生不逢时”，一边还是得另寻他法求生存。
When life is satisfactory, people go along with the wind, and everything seem to be moving in a good direction. During those days, every steps seems to have “wind”. When life is unsatisfactory, some may feel that everything ends up in failure, even drinking water will get choked. Especially in the past two years, the overall economy is very bad, and many people inevitably get into trouble. Some were forced to suspend business, some were unemployed, and some graduates couldn't find a job. There were complaints everywhere, and thinking that they are unfortunate to not "born at the right era", but still having to find another way to survive.

谋事在人，成事在天
Man proposes, Heaven disposes
说到这里，不得不提“谋事在人，成事在天”这句话。它代表自身已经尽力而为，至于能否达到目的，就要看时运如何了。
Speaking of this, I have to mention the phrase "it depends on people to make things happen, and things succeed depends on heaven". Meaning that human need to make it to their best, as for whether the goal can be achieved, it depends on the fortune.
这句谚语出自《三国演义》的第一百零三回，诸葛亮设妙计把司马懿诱入上方谷内，用干柴火把截断谷口。正当司马懿进退维谷，面临灭顶之灾时，突然狂风大作，骤雨来临，顷刻间浇灭大火，司马懿死里逃生。事后，诸葛亮感叹道：“谋事在人，成事在天，不可强也。”
This proverb comes from the 103rd chapter of 《The Romance of the Three Kingdoms》. Zhuge Liang devised a clever plan to lure Sima Yi into the upper valley and cut off route with dry firewood. Just as Sima Yi was in dire straits and was facing the disaster, a strong wind suddenly came with rain pouring down, which instantly put out the fire, then Sima Yi escaped. After the incident, Zhuge Liang sighed: "It's up to people to make things happen, and it's up to heaven to make things succeed. We can't force."
乍看之下，这则故事似乎在说不管付出多少努力，也无法避免失败。但若是因为这样的理解而选择不尝试任何努力，多半有推卸责任、安于现状的心态。
At first glance, this story seems to say that no matter how much effort you put in, you cannot avoid failure. But if you choose not to try any effort because of this, you will probably have the mentality to shirk responsibility and stay with the existing state of affairs and reluctant to move forward.

知命不等于认命
Knowing one's fate does not mean admitting one's misfortune
第一，这世上的确没有百分百稳赢的战争。狮子搏兔，亦用全力。不管什么场合，轻慢的态度可是大忌！就算是胜券在握，聪明人都只敢说“十拿九稳”。结果是未知的，它并不能成为你决定努力或不努力的借口。
First, there is no such war possess 100% winning rate. Even lion fights the rabbit with all its strength. No matter in what situation, a contemptuous attitude is a taboo! Even if the winning ticket is in hand, the wise will only say “the winning is in nine out of ten attempts". The future is unknown, and it shall not be the excuse of behaving passively.
第二，“人谋”是过程，“天成”是结果。有了“人谋”，在预期时间内不一定会有“天成”，但没有“人谋”，就绝对不会有“天成”！就算有再好的条件，不努力的结局才终究是一场空。
Second, "Man proposes" is the process, while "Heaven disposes" is the result. The effort may not get the best result within the expected time, but without effort, there will never be good results! No matter how good the conditions are, all will be in vain without any doings.

人们常说三分天注定，七分靠打拼，越努力越幸运。
People often say that destine takes three, and hard work takes seven.
你之所以感叹自己努力也没能变得更好，是因为你是站在努力后的角度看这个问题的，你根本就没有想过如果你不努力会怎样。如果你还是觉得你的收获远远小于你的付出，可能的原因有二：
The reason why you feel that you are not getting what you deserve is because you are looking at this problem after putting your effort, and you have never thought about what will happen if you don't work hard. If you still feel that your gain is far less than your contribution, there might be two possible reasons:
（一）努力的方向/方法不对，也就是盲目的努力。这样的努力可以说是伪努力，感动了自己，却也欺骗了自己。因为你是在用战术上的勤奋来掩盖你战略上的懒惰。不是单单只靠努力就可以打天下，需尝试各种方法。没有包治百病的药，只有坚持锻炼出的健康，和各个方面的均衡饮食保健。
(1) The direction/method of effort is wrong, that is, blind effort. Such efforts can be said to be fake in nature, which is touching but at the same time deceiving oneself. Because you are using tactical diligence to cover up your laziness in strategic. Hard work alone doesn’t win the world, you need to try various methods. There is no such medicine that cure all illnesses, only health that can be achieved through continuous exercise, balanced diet and healthcare.
（二）努力的力度还不够。你差的可能仅仅是一份耐心与坚持，不要随意放弃任何选择和希望。也不要以为万事俱备，就坐等好运降临。
(2) The level of effort is not enough. You may be lack of patience and persistence. Don't give up any choice and hope at will. Don't just wait for good luck to fall on you, even if you think that everything is ready.

我们的命运就掌握在我们自己的手中。我们每时每刻都在塑造着我们今后的命运，你现在努力了，谁知道未来就改变了呢。如果你放弃了努力，就不要去抱怨，不要去怨天尤人。比你条件好的人也还在努力，所以没有人是应该抱怨的。三分天注定，七分靠打拼，越努力越幸运。
Our destiny is in our own hands. We are shaping our future every moment. If you work hard now, who knows, you may change the future. If you give up your hard work, don’t complain, don’t blame. People who are better than you are still working hard, so no one should complain. The destine takes three, and hard work takes seven, the more the effort, luckier you are.
